GM recalls SRX, Terrain, and Equinox seatbelt buckles

Keyes Woodland Hills Buick, GMC Cadilac:  The safety of our clients, both before and after the sale is a number one priority for us.  As a dealership, we will be facilitating this with the utmost care and concern.

Below I will paste in the recall announcement for you to review.  If you are concerned that your vehicle may be in this recall, information on what to do will be found below.  If you are considering buying a Terrain or SRX we will be happy to perform the necessary inspection and work prior to you taking delivery.  Not all SRX's or Terrains are involved but we will be checking our existing inventory as well.

GM recalls SRX, Terrain, and Equinox seatbelt buckles


General Motors has announced a recall of model year 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, Cadillac SRX, and GMC Terrain vehicles related to their seat belt. We’ve got all the information owners of these vehicles need to know.

Summary:

GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 CADILLAC SRX, CHEVROLET EQUINOX AND GMC TERRAIN VEHICLES. THE DRIVER AND /OR FRONT PASSENGER SAFETY BELT BUCKLE ANCHOR MAY FRACTURE AND SEPARATE NEAR THE SEAT ATTACHMENT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Consequence:

THE SAFETY BELT SYSTEM MAY NOT RESTRAIN THE OCCUPANT(S) AS DESIGNED AND COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY.

Remedy:

DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE PASSENGER AND/OR THE DRIVER SAFETY BELT BUCKLES AS NECESSARY. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 18, 2011. I know it that the liking of celebrities is also the super GMC model. But I think so to buy one used GMC model, which will be best benefited to me and for my family.
