Yes, Woodland Hills Buick GMC Cadillac is an authorized VRRRM dealership. We have applied for and received authorization to be a VRRRM eligible dealer of qualified replacement vehicles in the South Coast. Woodland Hills Buick GMC Cadillac has a large selection of hybrid Toyotas (Prius, Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid), Toyota Certified Used Vehicles, and newer non-hybrid vehicle models that provide fuel efficiency.
-How do I apply to receive repair or replacement assistance for my vehicle?
Visit http://www.vrrrm.org/ or contact the Call Center at (800) 622-7733 to confirm eligibility and complete a VRRRM Replacement Incentive Consumer Application.
Submit the application via mail, e-mail or fax.
The submitted application will then be reviewed and validated by VRRRM program personnel.
A validation code and offer expiration date will be provided to you upon successful review and approval of a submitted application.
-What is the VRRRM program?
The Vehicle Repair, Retirement, and Replacement for Motorists Program, or "VRRRM," will bring clean air and fuel efficiency benefits to California consumers by repairing, retiring, or replacing more than 17,000 polluting vehicles in California and removing more than 850 tons of pollutants from the air in California over the next two years.
-Where does funding for VRRRM come from?
The VRRRM program is made possible from the Reformulated Gasoline Settlement Fund. This fund was created as a result of an antitrust class action lawsuit; the purpose of which is to achieve a clean air or fuel efficiency benefit for California consumers. VRRRM funding cannot be used to supplant any existing state or local repair, retirement, or replacement program. VRRRM is administered by the Foundation for California Community Colleges.
-What happens after I have been approved and I find a qualified replacement vehicle?
Woodland Hills Buick GMC Cadillac will deduct the $3,500 VRRRM Replacement Incentive from the purchase price of the vehicle to be bought. Bring your VRRRM application with you to Woodland Hills Buick GMC Cadillac after submitting it to VRRRM and receiving approval from VRRRM.
-What kind of vehicle is eligible for retirement through VRRRM?
You must own a vehicle that is:
At least 1995 model year or older, or
Be high-emitting, as determined and approved by VRRRM Program Advisors
AND
Currently registered in California, or
Registered with California DMV as Planned Non Operational (PNO), or
Delinquent in the California registration renewal process and not in the process of registering in California for the first time.
AND
Vehicle should have continuous six month registration to the same owner in California.
AND
Vehicle must be gasoline powered and light or medium duty with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of up to 14,000 pounds.
What kind of vehicle is a qualified replacement for an approved retirement vehicle?
The vehicle purchased must be four model years old or newer and/or hybrid or electric.
-What types of vehicles are excluded from VRRRM?
Vehicles owned by federal, state, or local agencies are excluded. Specially Constructed Vehicles (SPCNs) are also excluded.
-Do I have to be the owner of the retiring vehicle?
Yes, you must provide proof of ownership.
-What happens to my original vehicle?
The vehicle will be a trade-in and retired from future operation.
-Does VRRRM offer a repair program too?
Yes. Vehicles that fail the emissions portion of their smog inspection may receive assistance of up to $800 to fund approved emissions related repairs. Eligibility of the repair is determined through the same application process as the $3,500 repair voucher: visit http://www.vrrrm.org/ or contact the Call Center at (800) 622-7733 to determine eligibility, complete an application and be referred to a VRRRM Program-approved Gold Shield Station vehicle repair shop.
